About The Event
Getting feedback from Beta Readers, Editors, and Critique Groups is an essential step in the publishing process. But when your book is written for children, we believe getting feedback from kids is equally important.
There may have been some bribery with frozen yogurt, but regardless, this group of 2nd- 6th graders agreed to be my test group for my upcoming MG Sci-Fi book. They each received a copy of the manuscript with instructions to be brutally honest. They made notes along the margins as they read. When we met up for our book club meeting, they were so excited to share their thoughts. As the author, I took each morsel of feedback to heart. Then I went back to the computer to do my final revisions before sending it off to the editor.
