Laura Coy

“If there’s a book that you want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, then you must write it.” This is Laura’s favorite quote by the wise Toni Morrison, and she lives by it.
The idea for Enchanted Moon Press came to Laura as she sat behind the wheel, in dead stop Florida traffic, while her family slept peacefully behind seatbelts. She was pondering her next steps as a writer. After attending writing conferences, meeting with agents and editors, and writing each day, she knew that is shouldn’t feel so hard. There is a market for talented writers with unique stories to share. Then everything came to her at once- the name of the company, the tagline, the business plan. She grabbed a fast-food napkin from the glove box and scribbled her ideas as fast as they were being downloaded to her. Of course, she got in her own way and questioned herself for six months, like we all do. Can I really do this? It took getting an offer from a publisher on one of her books to make the plunge. She contemplated the offer, thought of all the other manuscripts she had stored on her computer, and ultimately rejected the offer. She knew she was ready to take on the writing world through her own publishing company. Let’s gooooo!
Laura has been a member of SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators) since 2010, is a member of Georgia Writers Association, and Atlanta Writers Club. She was the Parenting & Family Editor for Examiner, an online news source. Her memoir is published in Lois W. Stern’s “Tales2Inspire: The Moonstone Collection” and has won several writing awards. Laura’s writing style leans into justice and inspiration. She is thrilled to bring her own stories, and stories of others, to life through Enchanted Moon Press.

My name is Victoria and I’m an 18 year old aviation student from the Atlanta area. I am currently attending Auburn University as a freshman. I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember and it’s one of my favorite ways to relax and unwind. I have worked my way from personal commissions to illustrating for Enchanted Moon Press!

Luna

Like any lab, Luna offers lots of snuggles, foot warming, kisses, and emotional support. Although she is known to bark at inopportune times, her presence is much appreciated in the offices of Enchanted Moon Press. Be on the lookout for Luna to star as the main character in an upcoming children’s book series.
